Wheaton College Opera Music Theater: "The Tender Land" by Aaron Copland



Wheaton College's Opera Music Theater will perform Aaron Copland's "The
Tender Land" at 7:30 p.m. January 15-18.


"The Tender Land" is set in the American Midwest at harvest time during the
1930s. The story focuses on the Moss family and their daughter, who is about to
become the first member of the farming family to graduate from high
school.

Performances will be held Wednesday through Saturday. The production
is directed by Dr. Mark Lewis, associate professor of communication
at Wheaton College.

General audience tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door, or in
advance by visiting the Ticket and Information Office, located at 418 North
Chase Street in Wheaton. The performances take place in the Arena Theater. For more information,
