Wheaton Forms Plan to Remove Ash Trees

The Wheaton City Council has approved a plan to remove thousands of ash trees that have been destroyed by the emerald ash borer, according to the Daily Herald. 

The city has already removed 1,000 ash tress and plans to spend $3.2 million to remove 5,512 ash trees by April 2017 and will spend another $1.3 million to replace as many as 5,291 trees, according to the article.
