Police Report Marijuana, Drug Equipment Charges

Wheaton police reports, May 11-June 3

MONDAY, JUNE 3

Drug Paraphernalia

Police charged Christopher S. Starnawski, 19, of the 1900 block of North Summit Street in Wheaton with possession of drug equipment. He was arrested at 4:58 p.m. on the 200 block of Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn and then released from the scene, according to police.

Drug Paraphernalia

Police charged Jonathan L. Vercoe, 25, of the 300 block of Vernon Avenue in Wheaton with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested at 2:24 a.m. on the 400 block of East Indiana and then released from the scene, police said.

Cannabis, Drug Paraphernalia

Police charged Paige Michael Kantor, 23, of the 21800 block of Pleasant Grove in Marengo with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kantor was arrested at 10:15 a.m. at Adare and Roosevelt Road and then released from the scene, according to police.

TUESDAY, MAY 28

Cannabis, Drug Paraphernalia

Police charged Sean G. Murphy, 20, of the 2300 block of Durham Drive in Wheaton with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Murphy was arrested at 5:25 p.m. at Cromwell and Somerset and then released from the scene, police said.

MONDAY, MAY 27

Cannabis Possession

    Police charged Alonzo M. Carr, 19, of the 800 block of Lewisburg Lane in Aurora with possession of cannabis. Carr was arrested at 5:26 p.m. at Roosevelt Road and Westhaven. He was then released from the scene.

    SUNDAY, MAY 26

    Cannabis Possession

      Police charged Jashly V. Castillo, 20, of the 1300 block of Lind Avenue in Berkley with possession of cannabis. Castillo was arrested at 12:35 a.m. at Briarcliffe and Butterfield Road and then released from the scene.

      WEDNESDAY, MAY 22

      Drug Paraphernalia

      Police charged Odai Abel Majid, 22, of the 800 block of Queenswood in Wheaton with possession of drug paraphernalia. Majid was arrested at 9:55 p.m. at Longfellow and Christina and then released from the scene, according to police.

      TUESDAY, MAY 21

      Cannabis, Drug Paraphernalia

      Police charged the following men with possession of drug paraphernalia in their building on the first block of Wheaton Center in Wheaton:
      • Brendon Dion-douglas, 21
      • Davon M. Davy, 22
      • Nathan S. Olver, 22
      Police arrested the men at 4:35 p.m. May 21. Olver was also charged with possession of cannabis, along with John P. Murphy, 23, of the 1900 block of Hampton in Wheaton. All of the men were released at the scene, according to police.

      SUNDAY, MAY 19

      Cannabis, Drug Paraphernalia

      Police charged Michael R. Pennington, 35, of the first block of Wheaton Circle in Wheaton, with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia in his building. Pennington was arrested at 3:07 a.m. and then released from the scene, police said.

      SATURDAY, MAY 11

      Felony Controlled Substance Possession

      Police charged Kevin M. Simmons, 40, of the 2100 block of Charlotte Court, Wheaton, with the following:
      • Felony possession of a controlled substance
      • Possession of drug paraphernalia
      • Kane County Sheriff's Office arrest warrant for traffic offenses
      Simmons was arrested at 3:52 a.m. May 11 on the 100 block of East Wesley.  He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and then transferred to the DuPage County Jail, where he remains on $2,500 bond. When he is released from DuPage, he has a $330 bond in Kane County, according to jail records.

      Drug Paraphernalia

      Police charged Ameena Bahamou, 20, of the 200 block of Concord Lane in Carol Stream with possession of drug paraphernalia. Bahamou was arrested at 1:55 a.m. at Myrtle and Roosevelt Road and then released from the scene, according to police.
