New Philharmonic—“Amadeus!”

New Philharmonic (NP) opens its 2013-2014 season Oct. 19 – 20, with “Amadeus” concerts showcasing two Mozart’s greatest masterpieces. Piano prodigy Nadia Azzi, who made her Carnegie Hall debut at age 11, will join NP and Maestro Kirk Muspratt for Mozart’s final piano concerto, Piano Concerto No. 27 in B-flat major, “K 595,” considered  by many to be one of music’s most perfect architectural structures. The evening will also feature Mozart’s high energy Symphony No. 41 in C major, K 551, “Jupiter.’” Performances are Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m., at Wheaton’s Gary United Methodist Church, located just two miles from the MAC at 224 N.
