Some Roads to Close for Saturday’s 2013 PADS Run/Walk

Wheaton police announce temporary road closures, post online map of route.

The 2013 Run/Walk for DuPage PADS steps off at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, with its conclusion anticipated about 10:30 a.m., and Wheaton police want residents to know temporary street closures will be in place that morning.

The Wheaton Police Department will temporarily close:

Commerce Drive, between Liberty and North Gables

Gables Boulevard, between Commerce and Manchester

Manchester Road, between Woodlawn and the bridge

Bridge Street, between Union Pacific overpass and West Liberty

West Wesley, between Union Pacific overpass and North Hale

Gary Avenue, between West Wesley and Madison

Madison Avenue, between Gary and North Wheaton Avenue

Wheaton Avenue, between Madison and West Wesley Street

According to a press release from the city, uniformed officers will be on hand during the run/walk along these sections of roadway to assist and direct traffic.
