Every week we bring you pets looking for homes at area rescue groups. This week the pets are from Animal Rescue Foundation – IL (ARF) This beautiful 6-year-old, 60 pound, pure bred female chocolate Lab is super sweet. She happily greets the other dogs in her foster home and wants very much to play and receive love. Her picture doesn't begin to do Cali justice! She knows "sit," "lay down," and "leave it." We're still trying to figure out stairs. Cali came to ARF covered with fleas, heartworm positive, and starved for attention after spending the past 2 years living in an outdoor run. She was hit by a car and received a broken pelvis. ARF saw that she got the care needed to repair her fractures and her surgeon has cleared her for …

Diana is a beautiful adult long-haired Calico mix. She will be a fantastic companion cat, is fully vetted and ready to go to the right home. Her adoption fee has been subsidized for any approved applicant. ARF will check references to ensure our animals go to the right homes regardless of subsidized adoption fees. Diana prefers a quiet home, but is ok with other cats. She is currently in a foster home because she takes some time to warm up…

Charles is a 9-to-10-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever. He was brought into DuPage County Animal Care and Control as a stray. Since coming to the shelter, Charles has become a staff favorite. He loves to lounge in the front office. Charles has had some training and knows basic commands such as “sit” and some cool tricks such as “give paw.” He is super sweet and very calm.
