Gun Stolen in Break-in, DUI, Drugs: Police Blotter

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 23 Someone stole a $100 cell phone from an unattended bag in the girls locker room at Wheaton North High School between 2:15 and 4 p.m. Police charged Alyssa Sandoval, 20, of Winfield, in a theft that occurred between Jan. 1 and Jan. 23 at Target, 601 County Farm Rd. She was arrested at Target around 6 p.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night. Someone stole a $40 lottery ticket from an apartment in the Apartments at Wheaton Center. A resident told police he saw a chair had been used to prop open the apartment door and that someone entered the apartment between 12 and 1:30 p.m., moved a bunch of things around and stole the lottery ticket. SUNDAY, DEC. 9 Police charged Marrio Butler, 35, of Chicago with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a white 2009 Mitsubishi Galant near the intersection of Main Street and Roosevelt Road around 1:20 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning. SATURDAY, DEC. 8 Police charged Michael Lococo, 25, of Elmwood Park with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a silver 2012 Dodge Stratus near the intersection of Blanchard Street and Roosevelt Road around 4 a.m. when police stopped him. MONDAY, JUNE 11 Someone stole cash from Smashburger, 1 Rice Lake Square, between 11 p.m. Sunday, June 10 and 7 a.m. Monday, June 11. Smashburger employees recently reported a burglary, after someone shattered one of the restaurant's doors between 11 p.m. Thursday, May 24 and 7 a.m. Friday, May 25 to break in and tried to access the safe without success. Someone stole $250 in clothes that a woman left in a garbage bag at the edge of her driveway in the 1200 block of Prairie Avenue between 9 p.m. Monday, June 11 and 6:20 a.m. Tuesday. MONDAY, MAY 28 A resident in the 0-100 block of Kensington Circle reported a burglary after someone stole $450 in cell phones and $40 cash. According to the police report, the intruder entered the unlocked apartment between 3:45 and 5 p.m. and took two phones and cash. Wheaton police report a burglary at Smashburger in Rice Lake Square.

Wheaton police are investigating a burglary at Smashburger, 1 Rice Lake Square, after someone shattered a door at the west entrance of the restaurant between 11 p.m. Thursday, May 24 and around 7 a.m. Friday, May 25. According to the police report, after employees closed and locked the business around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, someone broke in and tried to access the safe without success. Nothing was taken. The unit is worth $100, police said. Someone stole $790 in stereo equipment from a blue 1996 Honda Civic in a parking lot in the 2000 block of Roosevelt Road between 4 p.m. Thursday, May 3 and 4 a.m. Friday. Someone stole a cell phone charger, a dispatch radio and a GPS unit from a black Lincoln Towncar in the 600 block of Woodlawn Street between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3.
