Letter: District 200 Administrator Salary Post is 'Misleading'

@Katie Claypool – 1) If you contribute to a 401k, 403b, 457 retirement plan, then Box #1 on the W-2 is certainly not your total salary. Your taxable gross wages are reduced by your retirement plan contribution. The amount in Box#1 may also be reduced by other pre-tax deductions, e.g. health insurance, dependent care, etc. 2) Listing the “salaries” of business men/women as a means of comparison …   more ›
