After Abduction Attempt, 'Stranger Danger' Reports, District 200 Plans Safety Forum
District 200 and local police departments will host a community safety forum after recent reports of suspicious adults near students.
In response to recent "stranger danger" reports in the community, Wheaton-Warrenville Community Unit School District 200 and local police departments will host a Community Safety Forum, according to an email sent Wednesday to District 200 parents. On Aug. 30, Hubble Middle School students reported a man who appeared to be taking pictures of them near a bus stop in Warrenville. Last Tuesday, Sept. 11, a nine-year-old boy reported an abduction attempt after a man tried to get him into his car in Winfield. Several Monroe Middle School students on Wednesday reported they saw the same man.
