The Wheaton North Falcons boys track and field team confidently won the 28th Annual Best Four meet on home turf in windy conditions Saturday, beating Lake Park 237 to 202, with the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers finishing third, the Daily Herald reports. Wheaton Warrenville South will host 25 schools from five states at the sixth annual Choral Classic Invitational March 8-9.
Wheaton Warrenville South High School this weekend will host its sixth annual Choral Classic Invitational, where 25 middle and high schools from five states will travel to Wheaton to compete in show choir and vocal solo performances. Approximately 1,500 students are scheduled to appear on stage during the two-day competition and more than 4,000 people are expected to attend, making it one of the highest attended singular performance events in the history of the school, according to a District 200 news release. The Wheaton Warrenville South Classics Show Choir was the grand champion of the Mt. Zion Midwest Invitational last weekend.
The Wheaton Warrenville South Classics Show Choir won first place at the Mt. Zion Midwest Invitational last weekend, edging out the Buffalo Grove Expressions. The Classics also won the awards for best vocals and best choreography.

Wheaton Warrenville South's Keisha Clousing won the state tennis title in singles play.
Wheaton Warrenville South junior Keisha Clousing won the state tennis title in singles play Saturday. She beat Hinsdale Central's Alex Solovyev 6-4, 6-1 to win the title at Buffalo Grove High School. Wheaton Warrenville South finished 10th overall, tying with Oak Park-River Forest, Stevenson and Chicago's Whitney Young. Clousing defeated Lyons Township's Alex Chatt 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in the semis before the final. Clousing told the Chicago Tribune revenge fueled her victory Saturday, after losing to Chatt and Solovyev at state last year. Clousing's win is the first singles title in Wheaton Warrenville South history, according to the Tribune.

Wheaton Warrenville South High School celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, after a controversial move to 1993 Tiger Trail in 1992.
When the Wheaton Warrenville South Tigers celebrate the 20th anniversary of the school's opening and its first state championship, they'll keep a school spirit alive that dates back over 100 years. But the Tiger history that includes the Belushi brothers (and sister), Bob Woodward and Red Grange could have dissolved in 1992, when Wheaton Central moved to Wheaton Warrenville to form Wheaton Warrenville South. Before Wheaton Warrenville South got its name in 1992, it was Wheaton Warrenville High School from 1973 until 1983, one of three high schools in District 200.
