MONDAY, NOV. 26 Police charged Sari Yaqub, 23, of Westchester with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a white 2005 BMW near the intersection of Carlton Street and Roosevelt Road around 1:40 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning. SUNDAY, NOV. 25 Someone stole a $300 cell phone from a restaurant bathroom in Danada Square East around 1:30 p.m. Police charge Jorge Gomez, 24, of Lombard with driving without a license. He drove a green 1994 Honda Accord near the intersection of Geneva Road and President Street around 10:30 a.m. when police stopped him. Wheaton police reports, Nov. 5-6

TUESDAY, NOV. 6 Police charged Traci Peterson, 46, of Warrenville with retail theft. She is charged with stealing consumable items in Danada Square East around 4:30 p.m. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day. Police issued a local ordinance citation of possession of drug paraphernalia to Benjamin Glonek, 18, of the 1200 block of Yorkshire Woods Court (lka) in Wheaton. He was arrested at 2:50 a.m. in the 600 block of County Farm Road and released on the scene. Police charged Kevin Kim, 20, of Warrenville with a warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested at 501 County Farm Rd. at 1:45 a.m. and taken to DuPage County Jail. Police charged two Wheaton teens and a Bartlett man with …

$6,000 in Jewelry, Van and Debit Cards Stolen: Police Blotter

Wheaton police reports, Oct. 10-Nov. 2, include a stolen van, $6,000 in jewelry stolen, aggravated battery and a break-in attempt.

FRIDAY, NOV. 2 Someone stole a white Chevy express van from a parking lot in the 600 block of County Farm Road about noon Friday, Nov. 2. The owner of the 2001 van told police she left her keys in the cup holder and when she returned, the car was missing, according to the police report. Someone tried to break in to a 2008 BMW in a downtown parking garage between 2 and 10 a.m. The car’s owner told police the trim piece above both driver’s side doors and sever pieces of weather stripping had been removed and were lying next to the car. She drove a red 2010 VW Jetta near the intersection of Lorraine and Roosevelt roads around 3 a.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning. THURSDAY, OCT. 18 Police said they charged Zam Thang, 42, of Glen Ellyn with a warrant related to a charge of driving under the influence from July 26 near the intersection of President Street and Roosevelt Road. He was arrested around 8:45 a.m. at the DuPage County Courthouse, 505 County Farm Road, and taken to DuPage County Jail. Police said they charged Robert Gorman, 22, of the 400 block of Crescent Street in Wheaton, with felony burglary from a car, criminal damage to a car and trespassing a car around 12:40 a.m. in the 300 block of East Seminary Avenue. SUNDAY, OCT. 14 Police said they charged Esteban Manuel, 27, of Lisle with driving without a license. Manuel drove a green 1997 Nissan in the 300 block of Rice Lake Square around 5:20 p.m. when police stopped him, according to reports. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day. Police said they charged Sebastien DuFort, 39, of Hinsdale with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegally transporting liquor and resisting and obstructing an officer. DuFort drove a black 2008 Nissan near the intersection of Gary Avenue and Geneva Road around midnight when police stopped him, according to reports.
