Local Editor Charlotte Eriksen leaves Wheaton Patch.
As of Wednesday, May 22, I will no longer be the Local Editor for Wheaton Patch, as I take on the opportunity to work as Field Editor for a group of Patch sites in Chicago's near-west suburbs. Sitting to write this "farewell" to you all, I was surprised at how off-kilter I felt, preparing to leave something that has been such a huge part of my life for the last three years. I came to Wheaton with no knowledge of the city whatsoever, and no experience covering local news. It didn't take long to realize Wheaton residents are plugged in. They care about their hometown and they will do what's needed of them to maintain its charm and distinction.
