Volunteer Opportunities for the New Year

Why not start out the new year by giving back to local organizations. Here are a few local nonprofits seeking volunteers.

The New Year has arrived and if you are like most people you’ve made a few resolutions. Often people resolve to give back more to their communities, and keeping that in mind, here are some local organizations who are always looking for volunteers. The Morton Arboretum: Natural Area volunteers are needed. Invasive plants grow and spread rapidly, crowding out native trees, wildflowers, and plants the Arboretum want sto establish in collections areas. Volunteers in good physical condition, able to navigate uneven terrain, and work in all weather conditions are welcome to join one of several work groups.
