Inflatable Christmas Decoration Stolen, Vandalism: Police Blotter

SUNDAY, DEC. 2 Someone scratched a door of a 2004 Honda Element parked in a parking garage at 220 S. Wheaton Man Charged With Damage to Police Department Property

A Wheaton man was taken to DuPage County Jail after reportedly throwing a brick through a police department window around 6:45 a.m. Sunday.

Updated Monday, 11:37 a.m. Robert Davison, 32, of Wheaton faces felony charges of criminal damage to government property after throwing a brick through a window at the Wheaton Police Department around 6:45 a.m. Sunday, police said. On her way to work Sunday morning, a department employee saw a man in a dark striped shirt walk toward the department lobby area, police said. He then made a throwing motion and ran north, through the Commerce Park business complex parking lot across the street from the department. SUNDAY, JULY 8 A man reported a stolen cell phone and sunglasses after he told police a cab driver tricked him into going into a convenience store to ask directions around 7:30 a.m. According to the police report, the man hailed the cab in the 600 block of Roosevelt Road and gave the driver his phone to use as a navigator. The driver stopped in the store's parking lot and told the man to ask the clerk if they were in Wheaton. The man complied and when he returnd, the cab driver was gone, police said. The following identity theft and vandalism reports are from the Wheaton Police Department: A resident in the 500 block of Turf Lane in Wheaton reported identity theft after someone made illegal purchases on her card between noon Saturday, May 12 and noon Sunday, May 13.
