TUESDAY, OCT. 16 Someone kicked the driver’s side mirror off a white 1996 Dodge Neon near the intersection of Crescent and Garner streets around 10:15 a.m. The car owner told police he found the mirror on the hood of the car and saw a footprint on the mirror and assumed someone kicked it. WEDNESDAY, OCT. 10 Someone stole a boy’s unsecured mountain bike between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Emerson Elementary School, 119 S. Woodlawn St. Someone broke into a home in the 1000 block of Arbor Avenue in Wheaton and stole jewelry between 12:30 and 3 p.m., police said. TUESDAY, OCT. 9 Police said they charged Donada Campbell, 43, of Maywood with driving on a suspended license. Campbell drove a white 2007 Kia Spectra near the intersection of President Street and Roosevelt Road around 7 p.m. when police stopped her. MONDAY, OCT. 8 Police said they charged Deon Dumas-Woodson, 18, of Glendale Heights with possession of a stolen cell phone. Dumas-Woodson was arrested near the intersection of North Avenue and Virginia Street around noon, booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day. SUNDAY, OCT. 7 Police said they charged Peter Velez, 31 of the 1300 block of North Main Street in Wheaton with a failure-to-appear warrant. He was arrested at Stone Park Village Hall, 1629 N. Mannheim Rd. in Stone Park around midnight and taken to DuPage County Jail. SUNDAY, SEPT. 16 Police said they charged Stephanie Brogie, 22, of Warrenville, with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at Target, 601 County Farm Road. She was cited at Target around 8 p.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night. Police issued a local ordinance citation of retail theft to a 23-year-old Lisle man. He was cited at Kohl's, 401 County Farm Road, around 7 p.m. and released on the scene. WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 11 Police said they charged Michael Hardin, 49, of the 700 block of Liberty Drive in Wheaton, with retail theft at Jewel, 2031 N. Main St., around 7:30 p.m. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night. Police said they charged John Ridgway, 51, of Sandwich, with driving on a suspended license, suspended registration and two warrants for failure-to-appear offenses. Ridgway drove a white 1996 Jeep Cherokee near the intersection of Cole and Main streets around 2:20 p.m. when police stopped him, according to reports. He was taken to DuPage County Jail that night.
