Paul Rodriguez began teaching guitar lessons at Suburban Music in September of 2000, teaching just 14 students each week, when the store had only five instructors. In April of 2012, Paul bought the store from Carl's daughter, Kim Morales. Suburban Music now has 11 instructors, teaching over 200 lessons each week. Suburban Music is conveniently located in downtown Wheaton, situated near the train, in the middle of the north & south sides of town. Obama's 'You Didn't Build That' Business Comments: Is He Wrong?

The president's small-business comments upset many people and gave Republican Mitt Romney a point of attack. But Barack Obama said the comments were taken out of context. What do you think? Take the Patch Poll.

President Barack Obama's recent comments about small business created a firestorm that could become a focus of the 2012 election — even as Obama and his supporters say his comments were taken out of context.  "Look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own," he said during a July 13 speech in Virginia. "If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help ... If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen." Dance Center to Open in Wheaton

Elite Feet Dance Center will open in fall 2012 at 206 ?, in the center at the intersection of Main Street and Geneva Road in Wheaton.

Elite Feet Dance Center, a dance center for children from toddlers to teens will open this fall at 246 Geneva Road in Wheaton, moving from its original location at 525 Crescent Boulevard in Glen Ellyn. Founder Christine Marcinkowski of Glen Ellyn started dancing at age three. She attended Glenbard West, where she danced on the school's team and performed in productions such as The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty with local ballet company, Ballet LaGere, according to the company website. Aveda Salon Construction Begins in Downtown Wheaton

Construction begins in downtown Wheaton for Aveda Lifestyle Salon at 109 Main Street.

Construction began this week at 109 Main Street to prepare for an Aveda Lifestyle Salon in downtown Wheaton. Roy and Karen Millonzi, owners at Namasté in downtown Glen Ellyn, bought the City-owned property for $200,000 in February. The couple plans to open the salon and Aveda store in the summer. “The City is pleased to see this internationally respected brand choose downtown Wheaton for its newest location,” said James Kozik, Director of Planning and Economic Development for the City of Wheaton. “It also puts this property back on the tax rolls, which is good for the City and the entire community.” Roy Millonzi told City Council at a Nov. 7 meeting that Aveda identified downtown Wheaton as a desirable location for one of its Lifestyle …
