Retailers in unincorporated DuPage County have complied with tobacco laws, the DuPage County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday.

DuPage County Sheriff John Zaruba announced Thursday that 45 retailers in unincorporated areas have passed the last three rounds of tobacco compliance checks. The checks have been part of the sheriff's efforts to reduce the access children have to tobacco products, according to a press release from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff John E. Zaruba announced yesterday, Monday, September 20 that Sheriff's detectives arrested Joe Thomas Dietzel of the 100 block of Blanchard Avenue in Wheaton for an armed robbery that occurred on Friday, September 17 at a Family Pantry store in unincorporated Wheaton. Dietzel is currently being held in the DuPage County Jail on $400,000 bond and his next court date is October 5th at 8:30am.
