Wheaton Man Charged With Child Porn a Sexual Predator, Registry Shows

Randall Weeks has been a registered sexual predator in Wheaton since 2005, according to the Illinois sex offender website.

The 49-year-old Wheaton man charged last week with 15 counts of aggravated possession of child pornography has been a registered sexual predator in Illinois since 2005, according to the Illinois sex offender website. Randall Weeks, of Juniper Lane in Wheaton was charged May 9 as a result of an undercover operation conducted by Wheaton police detectives, with the assistance of the DuPage County Sexual Predator Electronic Exploitation Division. Court records show he plead guilty in 2005 to charges of possession of child pornography. He is currently being held at the DuPage County Jail on $500,000 bail. Does he live in Wheaton now? He is listed on the Illinois sex offender list as on Juniper Lane (Unincorporated Glen Ellyn). However, I had to put in 60187 or Wheaton to see his record. I think it needs to be corrected either way so we can at least know where he is living. It is too important to be entered incorrectly.   more ›

There are 20 sex offenders listed as living in Wheaton, according to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry. See what else we discovered about them.

Patch wants to help Wheaton parents keep their kids safe this fall. The laws center on sex offenders registering in person each year at the local police department. They must do so for a required 10-year registration period, unless they are separately required to register for life. Offenders are prohibited from living within 500 feet of a school, daycare center, youth center or other facility that caters to children younger than 18 years old. A search of the Illinois Sex Offender Registry links 20 registered sex offenders to the city of Wheaton, and 12 living in Warrenville.
