Salon Celebrates Anniversary With Half-Priced Haircuts
Amore Francesca Salon & Spa in downtown Wheaton will celebrate its one-year anniversary with half-priced haircuts, appetizers, wine and deals Feb. 13 and 14.
Entrepreneur Frances Melin took a chance opening Amore Francesca Salon & Spa during a slow economy, and this week will celebrate her one-year anniversary with Half-Priced Haircuts for new clients on Wednesday, February 13 and Thursday, February 14. “In this economy, ‘one year’ is a big deal for a small business,” Melin said in a statement. Melin, 35, started cutting hair professionally at the age of 22. Her inspiration? A bad haircut, according to an Amore Francesca press release. “That haircut was awful,” Melin remembers. “Kids made fun of me. I was embarrassed.
