Crews have broken ground on the new Ronald McDonald House in Winfield near Central DuPage Hospital, the Daily Herald reports. The nonprofit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana has partnered with Cadence Health to build its fifth house to support families of hospitalized children. The new house will have up to 12 private guest rooms with private baths, and will be designed to create a "home away from home" atmosphere for guests, according to the Ronald McDonald House website.
