$2,000 in Purses Stolen, Felony Robbery Charges: Police Blotter

Wheaton police reports, Jan. 11-14

TUESDAY, JAN. 15 Someone stole a $200 bike locked to a rack at the Front Street train depot between 7:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Police charged Andres Ramirez, 39, of Addison with driving on a suspended license and an FTA warrant near the intersection of Blanchard Street and College Avenue. He was arrested at 4:15 p.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.  MONDAY, JAN. 14 Police charged Augus Harris, 23, of the 1100 block of College Avenue in Wheaton with trespassing a residence, and Rickie Rosado, 50, of the 100 block of Morgan Street in Wheaton and Shawn Brown, 23, of Glendale Heights with trespassing and felony robbery charges. Downtown Wheaton Bank Robbed

Police say two men robbed West Suburban Bank just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Police investigate after two men robbed West Suburban Bank on West Street in downtown Wheaton just before 6 p.m. Tuesday. Police said two men went into the bank, and jumped over the counter demanding money. The men implied they were armed, police said. They were given a bag of money and ran out of the building. Police believe they traveled east. The men had their faces covered, and no description was available, police said. Police also said that the bag of money contained an ink dye for tracking.
