New Preschool Plans the Focus of District 200 Community Forums
District 200 will host community forums to share information and solicit community feedback on its capital development plans, including its plan to rebuild Jefferson Early Childhood Center.
Community Unit School District 200 has scheduled four community forums, where community members can learn about the early childhood education services offered at Jefferson Early Childhood Center, formerly Jefferson Preschool. The forums are part of the district's plans to rebuild the school, which has not been received renovations in over 15 years. Throughout the year, the District 200 capital development committee looked at building needs in the district and identified Jefferson as the facility most in need of renovation. Love pre-schoolers but also love the baseball, soccer and football teams that use the 2 fields. I think the school should be able to be remodeled at the current location, if needed, and preserve the green space in our neighborhood. New admin offices seem like a low priority in this economy....   more ›
