DOWNERS GROVE A train ticket agent at 10:38 a.m. March 6 said that two people were involved in a loud argument lasting about five minutes that involved a 54-year-old man using vulgarity. The incident occurred at the Main Street train depot on the 1000 block of Burlington Avenue in front of numerous witnesses waiting for trains. A 78-year-old woman said she politely asked the man to quiet down and refrain from cursing as he spoke to other people. The man became angry and yelled, "You mind your own damn business and go away!" This is when the argument began. The man said he was sitting and talking to his friends when the woman yelled at him to quiet down in a disrespectful manner. CHARLES A 40-year-old resident of the 1000 block of Dean Street reported at 10:50 p.m. Feb. 27 that someone had poured bleach into her laundry in the basement of the apartment building where she lives. The clothes were ruined. The woman told police some tenants come into the basement to smoke cigarettes and marijuana and had been down there shortly after she started her laundry. DOWNERS GROVE A manager at a buffet-style restaurant on the 1400 block of 75th Street at about 8 p.m. Feb. 25 talked to police about a theft involving a man who keeps coming into the restaurant and eating without paying for food. BATAVIA A 20-year-old North Auroran and a 19-year-old Batavian were each issued complaints for unlawful consumption of an alcoholic liquor. An officer made the arrests at 2:12 a.m. on Feb. 21, according to a police report. Jason R. Leannah, of the first block of Grace Street, North Aurora, was speeding more than 40 mph over the limit. He posted his driver's license for bond for the speeding offense. Philip R.C. Vermaas, of the 800 block of North Forest Avenue, Batavia, was issued a notice to appear in court for failure to wear a seat belt, according to the police report. NAPERVILLE Someone on Feb. 21 received text messages from unknown numbers which read: "I SEE YOU" and "IM COMING FOR YOU," in the 1400 block of Culpepper Drive, police said. The messages were texted to the phone via Internet. Edvinas Korotkevic, 29, was arrested at 7:16 a.m. Feb. 18 at the Naperville Marriott in the 1800 block of North Naper Boulevard, police said. Korotkevic, a guest of the hotel, was allegedly drunk when he came down to the lobby and threatened to throw a smoothie in a clerk's face. NAPERVILLE A woman reported on Feb. 5 that someone had placed a used condom on her apartment door handle in the 200 block of East Bailey Road, police said. GLEN ELLYN Michael P. Dieterle, 20, of the 1300 block of East Elm Street, Wheaton, was arrested at 2:43 a.m. Jan. 27 in the 300 block of Alder Lane, police said. NAPERVILLE Two people were arrested early Jan. 27 after a brawl broke out inside a downtown Naperville bar, in which a stiletto shoe was used as a weapon, the Naperville Police Department said. Kenneth S. Davis, 21, of the 500 block of Donna Avenue in Aurora and Jessica M. Manchur, 27, of the 600 block of Grove Drive in Elk Grove Village, were charged with fighting, prohibited under a city ordinance, police said. Officers responded to a fight in progress on the second floor at Rizzo's bar, 6 W. Jefferson Ave., around 12:44 a.m. Jan. 27. NAPERVILLE A Naperville man caught speeding last April, hoping to have sex with a woman he liked, pleaded guilty Thursday to reckless driving, the Chicago Tribune reports. Zachary Pierce Ramirez, 21, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. April 21, 2012 at Oswego and River roads after being caught driving 111 mph in a 45-mph zone, police reports said. A story in the Daily Herald on April 27, 2012 said Ramirez was in a hurry because he was hoping to have sex with a girl he liked. He was driving about 104 mph near the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve and another speed check determined he was going 111 mph. She began vomiting again when paramedics arrived to check on her, and she was transported to an area hospital. CHARLES Walmart, 150 Smith Road, made two theft reports involving three separate incidents on Jan. 2, Jan. 3 and Jan. 4, in which two white females, in one instance accompanied by a white male, walked into the store and stole bottles of liquor, which they concealed once in a duffle bag, and two other times by concealing it in bags of goods they already had purchased. A total of 27 bottles of liquor and two pairs of pajama pants were stolen, Walmart told police. The total value of the liquor was estimated at $783.13, and the two pairs of pajama pants had a combined value of $26.82. ST. CHARLES Marc T. Okerblad, 21, of the 500 block of Harrison Street, Batavia, was charged at 2:20 a.m. Dec. 30 at 301 W. Main St., with disorderly conduct/public drunkenness, resisting a peace officer and violation of bail bond. Police who were downtown for bar closing said Okerblad approached an officer and demanded a ride home, and the officers informed him he should call a cab.
