Wheaton Housing Market Has Another Good Month: November Home Sales
Twice as many homes were sold in Wheaton in November 2012 than were sold in November 2011, the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors reports.
The 43 homes sold in Wheaton during November represented a 13.2 percent increase over November 2011, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). There were 52 homes sold in Wheaton during October. In addition, the median price of homes sold in November ($300,000) was 26.5 percent higher than the median price of homes sold in November 2011 ($237,250). The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout DuPage County saw growth in November, MORe reported. MORe gets its statistics from Midwest Real Estate Data. Downers Grove saw the largest percent increase, with 137.5 percent more homes sold year over year in November. There were 16 homes sold that month in 2011 and 38 in 2012.
