The long-time Wheaton business has reopened with a new owner and new spa offerings.
A long-time Wheaton business is open again, with new owners, a new attitude and new offerings. After 17 years the business, formerly known as Total Tan Today, has re-opened with the new name A Total Tan Spa. The spa is located at 262 E. Geneva Road. The business was closed for six-months while the new owners, Lonny and Lisa Harris, updated the business. The couple owned Sun on the Run in Park Ridge for eight years, but the commute from their Glendale Heights home became too much and they didn't want to move. Lisa Harris took some time off from the business to raise her son, return to school and do volunteer work. A new boutique set to open in downtown Wheaton in mid-May will bring a variety of clothing, jewelry and found items to shoppers.
Very soon shoppers looking for “beautiful things” will have a new boutique in Wheaton to frequent for all things lovely. Bella-Roba, Italian for beautiful things, is expected to open in mid-May at 104 N. Hale St. “It’s kind of like a high style bazaar with an eclectic mix of clothing, jewelry, antiques, décor and found items,” said owner Stacy Jansen. Jansen went to school for design and has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. She didn’t want to work in the interior design field and began to make jewelry. People liked her jewelry and began to encourage her to open a store. Nothing Bundt Cakes is now open at 421 Town Square Wheaton. The bakery carries cakes made fresh daily in sizes ranging from bite-sized "Bundtinis" and single servings to 8" cakes, 10" cakes and two-tier cakes. Bricks Wood Fired Pizza & Cafe is up and running at 103 Front St. in downtown Wheaton, serving up its signature wood fired brick oven pizzas, sandwiches, soups, salads, craft beer and giant cookies.
