Surround Sound: Someone In Two Cities

Someone In Two Cities is a local alternative indie pop-rock band. All four members graduated from Wheaton North High School in 2008, but formed the band while in college, in March of 2010. They live and play in Wheaton.

It is amazing, having only formed one year ago, that a band can have such a developed, mature sound -- usually something only bands who have been together for years can master. But there’s an explanation for that -- the members of Someone In Two Cities have been playing music for roughly 30 years combined. And for several of those years, playing in pairs with members of what would become this band. It was actually “just by chance” that the guys came together to form the electrifying alternative indie pop-rock group (a genre they call their own) in March of last year. Five Restaurants Offer Music to Dine For

Here's a look at five restaurants in Wheaton that offer live music.

A collection of eateries offering live entertainment are within walking distance of each other in downtown Wheaton. At the intersection of West Front and North Hale, you can pick a place not only based on the kind of music you like, but also your favorite cuisine. Muldoon's (133 W. Front St.): For (very good) pub grub and irish music mid-week, Muldoon's is a ripping good time, with performances on Tuesday nights.  It's a brightly lit spot that was "designed to replicate the authentic feel and warmth" of a classic Irish pub. The neighborhood ambiance brings patrons ranging in age from around 30-50.
