So does every school district in the state of Illinois. Legislative ineptitude, both state and federal, pressure on local resources, and increased educational expectations at all levels tax school districts in ways once unthinkable. Though Dr. Baker has been absent from District 200 for two years, he is not really gone, as he continues to get health insurance fully paid (as do all retired administrators including Ken Knicker's wife - is Ken on the health plan? - for 5 years after retirement, and Dr. Catalani, until 2021). Knicker voted for all this. So I do not consider Dr. Baker an objective source.   more ›
