Police Charge Man With Burglary
Man admits to breaking into unlocked cars with plans to steal, police say.
Wheaton police on Monday charged Jesus Haro, 19, of West Chicago, with burglary to a motor vehicle after a resident reported someone was entering unlocked cars in the 1300 block of South Campbell Street, according to a press release from the Wheaton Police Department. Police responded to the report about 2:43 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28. They stopped Haro, who matched the description of the suspicious person reported in the car, police said. Like Wheaton Patch on Facebook Haro admitted to entering a car with the plan of stealing something. Haro is charged with one count of burglary to motor vehicle. He remains at DuPage County Jail on a $75,000 bond. "The majority of vehicle burglaries reported in the City of Wheaton involved unlocked cars. …
