Illinois Sheriff's Association Scholarships Available
Sheriff announces $500 scholarships will be awarded to two DuPage County residents who wish to pursue higher education during the 2013-2014 academic school year.
From DuPage County Sheriff's Office: Sheriff John E. Zaruba, along with the Illinois Sheriff’s Association, announced today that scholarships will be awarded to two DuPage County residents who wish to pursue higher education during the 2013-2014 academic school year. Each scholarship will be in the amount of $500.00. The scholarship is to be applied to tuition, books and fees only. The scholarship recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at a certified institution of higher learning within the State of Illinois. There will be no restriction on any applicant by reason of race, age, creed, color, sex or national origin. Thanks for the headsup. Based on the years of BS with our legislators giving unfunded scholarships to sometimes very questionable reciprients, the question about the funds source certainly was not out of bounds.
