Former Wheaton College professor Donald Ratcliff has pleaded not guilty to seven counts of child pornography possession and three weapons-related charges after police found the materials on his computer in March. At a March 8 hearing, prosecutors offered a detailed overview of materials recovered from computers and DVDs at Ratcliff's home after investigators tracked downloads of child pornography to his computer. Among the five computer hard drives and hundreds of DVDs recovered, investigators found images and videos of child rape, fondling and sexually suggestive dancing by girls as young as preschool age. Eric Pence, charged with child pornography, grooming and traveling to meet a minor will undergo a sex offender evaluation.
A Wheaton teen will undergo a sex offender evaluation as part of his case on charges he tried to arrange a meeting for sex with a young girl, court records show. Eric Pence was arrested in September after police investigated complaints from the girl's parents about Pence, who reportedly had lewd images of the girl on his phone. Prosecutors allege Pence wanted to meet the 12-year-old at the Wheaton Library for sexual activity. Pence, 19, of the 0-100 block of Circle Avenue in Wheaton turned himself in to Wheaton police Friday, Sept. 7, according to a press release. Eric Pence, 19, of the 0-100 block of Circle Avenue in Wheaton turned himself in to Wheaton police Friday, Sept. 7, according to a press release from the Wheaton Police Department. Pence pleaded not guilty to five counts of possession of child pornography, and one count of grooming, child luring and traveling to meet a minor, according to court records. Police have charged a 19-year-old man with child pornography possession and luring a minor after an investigation that started with a 12-year-old's parents' complaint, according to a press release from the Wheaton Police Department. Eric Pence, 19, of the 0-100 block of Circle Avenue in Wheaton turned himself in to Wheaton police Friday, Sept. 7, according to the release.
