DuPage Courts: Judicial Candidate's Son Faces Drug Charges, Lisle Man Held for Child Pornography

DuPAGE: 1. Elmhurst: In an effort to avoid any potential conflicts, a special prosecutor has been appointed to handle the drug case of a DuPage County judicial candidate's son. Collin O'Shea, whose father is long-serving DuPage County Board member Patrick O'Shea, is charged with selling cocaine in March. During an April 11 hearing, Judge Ronald Kleeman agreed to appoint an appellate prosecutor to try the case instead of DuPage County prosecutors. The state's attorney's office acts as legal counsel to all county employees, including the county board. Patrick O'Shea is also on the November ballot to claim a seat on the bench in DuPage's 18th Judicial Circuit. Collin O'Shea returns to court May 16 when he is expected to be arraigned. 2. Lisle…
