The Wheaton Police Department shared the following tips for crime prevention during the holidays: Don't Drink and Drive Driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs remains the No. 1 cause of fatal traffic crashes in Illinois and across the United States, the Wheaton Police Department wrote in a press release. Please use a designated driver, a cab or public transportation should you consume anything that may impair your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
