Police Charge Wheaton Man for Heroin Possession
A Wheaton man faces charges for possession of a controlled substance, obstructing justice, obstructing a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid driver's license, improper lane usage and improper lighting.
Police arrested a Wheaton man for possession of a controlled substance Friday, Sept. 24 after he reportedly tried to destroy a baggie of heroin by swallowing it at a traffic stop, according to police reports. Paul Gomez, 34, 1223 N. Main St., Wheaton, faces charges for possession of a controlled substance, obstructing justice, obstructing a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid driver's license, improper lane usage and improper lighting on Friday, Sept. 24 at 12:42 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and President Street.
