DUI, Drugs, Church Sign Vandalized: Police Blotter
Wheaton police reports, Jan. 31-Feb. 10
SUNDAY, FEB. 10 Someone defaced the cedar sign in front of a church in the 900 block of Union Avenue between 10:30 p.m. Feb. 9 and 7 a.m. Feb. 10. SATURDAY, FEB. 9 Police charged Nicholas Arias, 19, of Lombard with driving under the influence of drugs. He drove a gray 2006 Hyundai Tucson near the intersection of President Street and Taft Avenue around 1:35 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning. Police charged Lauren Allen, 22, of Aurora with driving without a license. She drove a white 2001 Dodge Stratus near the intersection of Leask Lane and Butterfield Road around 9:10 a.m. when police stopped her. She was released on the scene.
