The following are recent developments in notable DuPage County court cases: Elmhurst: Sentencing has been set for the Elmhurst mother who pleaded guilty to aggravated battery to a child in connection to a June 2011 incident involving her son. Cheryl Luchetta had been charged with attempted murder after her she awoke to find her son unresponsive inside their Elmhurst home last year. Police and prosecutors said Luchetta drugged the boy before cutting her own throat. Luchetta pleaded guilty in July to the aggravated battery charge in a deal with prosecutors.
