Butterfield Construction: Lanes to Shift Today

Westbound traffic on Butterfield Road will switch to two new lanes.

The contractor for the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Butterfield Road widening project plans to begin moving traffic over to the new lanes between Naperville Road and Wiesbrook Road starting this afternoon and into this evening, according to a release from the City of Wheaton. Wheaton Patch accepts and publishes letters to the editor emailed to Local Editor Charlotte Eriksen at Charlotte@patch.com, or sent as a message through the Wheaton Patch Facebook page. Last Monday I was issued a $120 ticket for not obeying construction signals on Naperville Blvd. When the Wheaton officer pulled me over…

And that is where you go wrong- I'm not defending the project in any way. I'm saying that before you decide on who is responsible, you may want to get some information on who the problem is with. And I never said I knew what the cause is- I offered up a bunch of potential issues that could exist. I drive right through it no less than twice a day, and it is an inconvenience, but I also understand …   more ›
