By 7 a.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service in Romeoville had the total rainfall amount at 3.24 inches for the previous 24 hours. Then it rained some more. And it's not forecast to stop until Friday morning.  What does the scene look like for you? Are there several feet of water outside your home (or, heaven forbid, inside it)? Stranded cars; flooded lawns and streets? Despite a despicable legal attack and being outspent 10-to-1, a citizen’s group started by two brothers got the removal measure on the ballot and then prevailed. That guy that panhandles by the Walmart is harmless, if you've known he's been there for 2 years you should know he NEVER approaches vehicles unless someone rolls down their window to help this man.
