Obituary courtesy of Hultgren Funeral Home: Marshall LeRoy Bentsen, age 86, a longtime resident of Wheaton, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He was born on November 4, 1926 in Chicago to Arne and Gudrun (nee Swaback) Bentsen. Marshall graduated from University of Illinois in Management, from Triton College in Accounting and attended Moody Bible Institute evening classes. He worked as an accountant at various firms including: Bonnar and Vauter, Frazier and Torbit, MAP International and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. He served in the US Air Force during WWII. He also continued his father's business, Arne Bentsen and Sons Painting and Decorating in Oak Park. He was a member of the Peoples Class at Wheaton Bible …

This guy was my next-door neighbor for the past 13 years, I have nothing but kind words about him. He was always friendly and smiled when I saw him, he made an effort to greet people.
