Woman Sentenced for Crash into Wheaton House

Allison Smolinski will return to prison for charges related to a January crash into a Wheaton home, injuring one, the Naperville Sun reports.

A Downers Grove woman charged in three accidents, including a crash into a Wheaton home in January, was convicted of a felony charge of aggravated DUI and sentenced to three years in prison in DuPage County court this week, according to the Naperville Sun. Allison Smolinski, 22, faced charges of aggravated DUI causing great bodily harm, leaving the scene of an accident, property damage and driving too fast for conditions after the Jan. 10 accident near the intersection of Farnham Lane and Huntleigh Street in Wheaton. According to a press release the Wheaton Police Department sent after the crash, Smolinski was ejected from her 1997 Nissan after it hit a tree and then the house.
