Airhart Starts New Construction at Courthouse Square

Airhart Construction begins third phase of construction at Courthouse Square in downtown Wheaton.

With the first two phases sold out at Courthouse Square in downtown Wheaton, Airhart Construction has announced that construction is underway on its third phase of homes at Courthouse Square in downtown Wheaton.  “We are selling and building; the demand is certainly there. Two homes are already sold in phase III, and we are preparing contracts on two more and a deposit on a fifth,” said Court Airhart, president of Airhart Construction in a statement. “We look forward to delivering new homes in October.” Heather Mistele, Sales Manager for Airhart Construction said in a statement, “Our buyers are excited about living downtown, they like the activity and want to be close and live a more walk-able lifestyle.” The homes at Courthouse Square …

Council to Vote on Coordination with Neighboring Fire Departments, Bike Plan, Changes to Police Contracts

City Council will address the following agenda items at the Feb. 6 meeting at City Hall, 303 Wesley St., Wheaton.

Wheaton City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6 at City Hall. Following a proclamation regarding the 84th anniversary of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Council will address the following agenda items: New business Approve bond waivers and issue raffle license for the DuPage County Convalescent Center and Washington Elementary School PTA Award bid for aerial bucket truck chassis: Council will vote to approve the purchase of an aerial bucket truck for $88,672 for the city’s electrical department to replace the current truck that is showing “early signs of corrosion,” according to a city memo.
