A visitation for Adelaide P. "Addie" Jurs of Wheaton will be held on Friday, February 1, from 3 until 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St in Wheaton.

"Addie" Jurs, age 71, a resident of Wheaton, formerly of Willowbrook and Clarendon Hills, died peacefully at home on Monday, January 21, after a 22 month battle with cancer. She was born August 26, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA to Harry and Adelaide Poole. Addie graduated from Glenbrook High School in Northbrook in 1959. She graduated from Northwestern University in 1963 and began teaching at Avoca grade school in Wilmette. She met her future husband Jerry Jurs while at Northwestern. After reconnecting at a friend's wedding in 1965, they were married on August 6, 1966. They lived in Evanston and then Clarendon Hills for over 30 years, where they raised three children.
