She was born May 4, 1924 in Britton, MI. She is survived by daughter, Nancy Pass of Wheaton, IL; and her son, James Pass of Chicago, IL. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew United Church of Christ, 1420 S. Gables, Blvd, Wheaton, IL 60189. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL. A memorial visitation for Stephanie Pickett, a Warrenville resident and Wheaton Warrenville South High School student will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 at the DuPage Memorial Chapel, 951 W. Washington St., West Chicago. Pickett, 18, died Thursday, April 25 in an accident in unincorporated Wheaton. She was born April 2, 1995 in Glendale Heights. She was a senior at Wheaton Warrenville South, according to a message from District 200. She worked at Happy Paws Pet Resort in Carol Stream. Jacob enlisted in the US Army just before Pearl Harbor. After the war he married Klarien Groenewold. He worked for Western Electric for 35 years and 2 months and retired in 1981. During retirement he remained very active, working with Meals on Wheels, PADS, and helping others with landscaping and yardwork. He loved family activities and enjoyed traveling. He was born on October 18, 1917 in Chicago to Thomas and Lillian Thomas. After being orphaned in 1924, Thomas and his brothers lived at the Bensenville Home. He graduated from Parker High School on Chicago's south side and then attended the University of IL. He enlisted in the National Guard, where he played the French horn in the band. Kaelan Mondragon remembered on social media as loving, always smiling.
Kaelan Mondragon, 16, of Wheaton died at his home on Thursday, March 28. Mondragon was a junior at Wheaton Warrenville South High School who played on the boys volleyball team. He was also a member of the Sports Performance Volleyball Club in Aurora, according to a post on the SPVC Facebook page. According to his obituary, "He had an ear for music, especially the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and playing bass guitar. His incredible smile was infectious and his goofy ways brought a smile to all who knew him. Taken from his family too soon."
