Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital is a non-profit teaching hospital dedicated to physical medicine and rehabilitation. Founded in 1972 by the Wheaton Franciscan sisters, Marianjoy is a member of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, which owns and operates more than 100 health and shelter service organizations in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. In October 2006, Marianjoy opened a $60 million, 170,000 square foot facility on its 60-acre wooded campus. The facility has 120 private rooms, a Chartres labyrinth, gardens, a meditation room and a chapel designed to provide a tranquil and therapeutic environment for its patients.
