Taste of Wheaton 2014 to Feature Inaugural Pizza Tasting Thursday

Pizza lovers looking to sample some of the community’s best will get their chance during this year’s inaugural “Slice of Wheaton” event on Thursday, June 5, from 5 to 9 p.m. in Memorial Park, kicking off the 2014 Taste of Wheaton.

Five Wheaton Chamber Member restaurants will be selling tickets for pizza slices at $2 each, or a packet of 6 for $10. Participating local restaurants include Brick’s Wood Fired Pizza & Café, Evviva Pizzeria, Gino’s East, Jet’s Pizza, and Jack Straw’s.  

The Wheaton Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Club and the Wheaton Park District invite the community to join them in Memorial Park from 5 to 7 pm for the Taste of Wheaton Event Ribbon Cutting and the presentation of the Wheaton Award. 

The Wheaton Award is presented each year to a Wheatonite who has significantly contributed to the community. As hosts of this evening, the Wheaton Chamber Ambassadors will be found circulating throughout the beer garden to welcome you with a free drink ticket.

The Taste of Wheaton runs Thursday, June 5 through Sunday, June 8 in Downtown Wheaton.
