  • 7 p.m. — Wheaton City Council meeting, City Council Chambers, Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St.

  • 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. — Foundation Training Class: designed to teach you proper movement patterns and exercises/stretches to activate your posterior muscular chain. At 340 W. Front St. Wheaton.

  • 2 p.m. — Composting at Home: Free food scrap and yard waste outdoor composting workshop. SCARCE, 799 Roosevelt Road, Building 2, Suite 108, Glen Ellyn

  • 7 p.m. — NAMI DuPage Gives Hope to Families: NAMI of DuPage County (The National Alliance on Mental Illness) will offer the free NAMI Family to Family Education course at Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane, Naperville

  • 7 p.m. — Contemporary Books Discussion: September’s book is The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty. Meets regularly at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month and at 10 a.m. on the second Tuesday and Wednesday.  At the Wheaton Public Library, 225 N. Cross St., Wheaton.

  • 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. — French Market: Flowers, locally grown produce, jewelry, crafts and more at Main Street & Liberty Drive (just south of the railroad tracks).

  • 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — 1st Week Fall All-Animal Expo: Reptiles, birds, small exotic animals and more. At the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 W Manchester Road, Wheaton.


Sunday


  • 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Wheaton Great Midwest Train Show: One of the world's LARGEST train Shows! Featuring HO scale, N scale, Lionel, O scale, G scale, American Flyer, hobby tools, die-cast vehicles, train whistles, scenery items and more. At the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 W Manchester Road, Wheaton.
