Automate Your Home

Do you realize how easy it is to automate functions of your home these days? Check it out!

Spring break time is coming- check out ways to make your life easier while away.
We are living in an amazing time. Modern technology has never ceased to amaze me. It is very easy and cost effective to completely automate your home by the push of a button.
Imagine if you are sitting on a beach in Florida this spring break and get a call on your smart phone that a contractor is at your home to do some work. This is something you wanted to get done while you were away. No problem, with the push of a button you can disarm your alarm system, unlock the front door, turn on the lights and turn up the temperature on your thermostat. Then to make sure the contractor is doing what he is supposed to do, you can click another button and view them working in your home.
Worried about them going into an area they should not be? Simply alarm that area to send you an email and a picture of what they are doing there if they go into that area. A contact on a jewelry drawer is an example, This is all available now and is integrated in most new alarm panels. The best part is it is relatively inexpensive.
The other good part is it is practical in every day life. If you use light timers now to turn on your lights, which you should, you are always going to them to make changes based on the time of year. Now it can be done from a computer screen. You can also set dimmers remotely.
Using the smart thermostats makes you save energy with built in energy saving features. The electric door locks automatically disarm an alarm before your children enter the home reducing any false alarm possibilities. Plus it guarantees your kids set the system when they lock the door.
If you have interest in any of these features you should contact your security provider or low voltage contractor. You would be amazed how inexpensive it can be.
