Wheaton Brownie Troop Plants Trees on Arbor Day

A group of Wheaton Brownies planted evergreen trees at Emerson Elementary School on Arbor Day last Friday.

The Brownie Troop 41912 planted two evergreen trees at their school on Arbor Day last Friday, Apr. 27. The girls also planted three flats of flowers, donated by Sonseeker Landscaping.

They collected 100 pennies each through good deeds, which were turned in to the Girl Scout council for an evergreen tree, in honor of the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts.

A second evergreen donated by Sonseeker Landscaping for their parade float from the Downtown Wheaton Association Holiday Parade was also planted on the south side of the school building.
