Window fashions with fabric vanes, such as Pirouette window shadings, are designed to be opened and closed on a regular basis.  That’s why, if a shading has been left fully lowered with the vanes opened for a long period of time, the vanes may develop a “memory” that makes it difficult to close or flatten the vanes.  This is called vane set, and it can be intensified by summer heat on the shading.  If vane set occurs, there is nothing wrong with the shading.  This is normal characteristic of fabric products and there are simple procedures to correct and prevent this from happening.  For more information contact Todd Zimmerman.
