Heat Advisory in Effect Tuesday Afternoon

The National Weather Service says heat index values will top out at 105.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for DuPage County until 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

According to the advisory, temperatures reach the high 90s and low 100s this afternoon, and heat index values will reach 105. Temperatures will be slow to fall tonight.

These very hot and humid conditions will increase the risk of heat related illnesses," the advisory reads. "Drink plenty of fluids, stay in air conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors."
