Wheaton's Fireworks Display is Thursday, Independence Day Parade is Friday

The Fourth of July is right around the corner.

And the Wheaton Park District is again organizing the annual fireworks show and 2014 Independence Day Parade.

This year's fireworks show will be held at 9 p.m. on July 3 at Graf Park, 1701 Manchester Road. A carnival held at the park will open at 4 p.m. Activities, concessions and music will start at 5:30 p.m.

This year's Independence Day Parade will step off at 10 a.m. on July 4 in downtown Wheaton. This year's theme is "Generations of America."

The parade route runs mainly along Main Street, between Hawthorne and Wesley. A short portion of the parade will also march along Wesley Street and Front Street, according to the Wheaton Park District (you can view the full route in the map above).
